St. Joseph Parish offers Faith Formation classes, Grades 1-8 on Tuesdays, from 4-5:15 mid-September to early May in the School Building. We will be online for the first half of the year, per the guidance of the Diocese.
Faith Formation (religious education) instills in our youth at a young age the importance and the beauty of our Catholic Faith. In a faith-filled environment, along with their peers, their faith and love of Jesus is cultivated and able to flourish, and they are given a deeper understanding of the Mass and its significance. We emphasize a love of Jesus in the Eucharist and promote the teachings of the Catholic Church in an age-appropriate setting. We provide opportunites for service projects and social gatherings, as well as spiritually enriching Parent-student activities. All are welcome!
Faith Formation Program: Knowledge, Prayer, Service
This year is a year of change and challenges, and our Faith Formation program is adapting! Our program this year is three-fold:
Knowledge- Your children will learn more about their faith during their online Faith and Life series- shorter, narrated videos that walk you through each week's topic, with activtities and quizzes at the end. Our teachers will also have a Teacher's Corner with supplemental resources.
Prayer- Each month will have its own theme and prayer focus, culminating in our in-person meeting. Whether it be for the Rosary or Adoration, we are looking forward to coming all together to put our faith into practice!
Service- Though we can't gather in the school to complete acts of service, we can still serve others! Each month will have a simple way for your child to serve others, and bring their contribution to our monthly in person meeting.
Please use this week to complete all Lessons thought Lesson 20 and Unit 5 Test. Students will NOT move on to the next grade level if lessons are incomplete. Thank you for your understanding!
