The Living Rosary at St. Joseph Church
A Living Rosary is a new prayer group at St. Joseph Church, whereby 20 people commit to praying a different mystery/decade of the Rosary each day, for 20 days (then the cycle will repeat and start on Day 1). Together, these 20 people pray a collective, full Rosary each day, completing all the mysteries- Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious. We are praying this for Vocations, the Church and the whole world.
We have reached our 20 participants for the Living Rosary Prayer Group. If you would like to be included in the next group of 20 for the calendar, or participate should a member need to leave, please sign up below or email stjosephplc@yahoo.com.
This is an example of the calendar that will be emailed to each participant with the start date. Each person will receive their own number.
Where did the idea for a Living Rosary come from?
While the history might go back further, we found out about the Living Rosary from Pope St. John Paul II. Before he was a priest, JP II was a member of a group who prayed together during the Nazi occupation in Poland. Praying the rosary was one way they fought the evil of their time. Drawing on the wisdom of a Saint, we venture to follow in his footsteps and entrust this crisis to Jesus through Mary.
What is the How-to Catholic Living Rosary praying for?
In general, the intention of this Living Rosary group is for Vocations For the Church. For those suffering. For those who need redemption. For the truth to come to light. For true reform. For the future. For the rise of new Saints.
I’m afraid I’ll forget to pray. Should I still join?
